5 charming Joe Biden & Jill Biden moments from the Social Good Summit

If you’re a human, odds are, you love Joe Biden or have at least felt attracted to him at some point.

During his address at Mashable‘s Social Good Summit on Monday, the Vice President spent about 40 minutes educating the audience on his Cancer Moonshot initiative, which aims to eradicate cancer from society by improving research, patient care and more.

During his powerful speech, Biden still found time to show his appreciation for his wife, the fabulous Dr. Jill Biden, who made a short speech to introduce the Veep, and to just be all-around wonderful.

Here are five A+ moments from their time on stage at the summit.

1. Joe’s clap for Jill

After taking the stage together, Jill stepped behind the podium to speak first. When she looked back at her husband before beginning, he gave her an adorable and encouraging clap.

2. Joe’s proud smile

When Jill cracked a joke, her husband beaming at her gave us all the true love-related jealousy.

3. The Biden Kiss

The jealousy and feels only got stronger when Jill passed the podium-shaped baton over to Joe and the two graced the audience with a kiss.

4. Joe’s opening line

As if we weren’t already eating out of the palm of his hand, the goofball’s charming opening line was, “My name is Joe Biden, I’m Jill Biden’s husband.”

Apparently this is a trend of Biden’s – his Twitter bio expresses a similar sentiment.

5. Him checking in on the audience

As if we could ever feel bored while listening to national treasure Joe Biden speak, he told the audience, “I hope this isn’t boring you. This is important.” You were not boring us, Joe. You definitely were not.

This power couple behind the important cause of ending cancer really gives us optimism for the future of global health.
