We commoners have free reign to use whatever language we wish, but that’s not the case for the royal family. According to Reader’s Digest, these are five words the royal family must avoid saying:
1. Posh. They instead say “smart.”
2. Pardon. They find “sorry” or “sorry, what” a more suitable way to ask someone to repeat himself.
3. Perfume. They instead ask someone what “scent” they are wearing.
4. Toilet. They instead ask for the “loo.”
5. Mom and Dad. “Mummy” and “Daddy” are how they refer to their parents their entire lives.
