6 minutes of aerial footage of LA is better than 'True Detective' Season 2

If you’ve been on the fence about watching the second season of HBO’s True Detective, let this video help push you either way.

Videographer Ian Wood uploaded six minutes of aerial footage above Los Angeles, which is essentially what Nic Pizzolatto did for Season 2. Wood, however, held off on the gritty crime subplot.

Jokes aside, the footage is a follow-up to Wood’s video from last year, featuring exclusively downtown Los Angeles. Both videos show the awesome architecture, art and twisting roadways of the city.

“I continue to be awe struck by how much of this vast city I have partially or completely overlooked before undertaking this video,” writes Wood in the video’s description.
