Anyway, here's Matthew McConaughey's obscure YouTube Channel

Matthew McConaughey: Hollywood A-lister, Oscar winner and now, YouTube star.

Much like Jenna Marbles or Cameron Dallas, Matthew McConaughey is also something of a hip, young internet sensation in his own right.

McConaughey uploaded his first YouTube video two years ago, but the channel only started gaining some traction late last week, thanks to an interview in Esquire and a post on Reddit on Thursday.

If you’re expecting high-quality films or jet-setting adventures on McConaughey’s channel, start curbing your expectations. Turns out, the extra-chill movie star is more like your usual YouTube vlogger — except he just happens to be one of the most famous men on the planet.

McConaughey often uses his channel to talk about the charities he is involved in, including participating in #Giving Tuesday (video above), which takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, and getting water to homeless people through I Am Water (video below).

Even though he doesn’t talk about himself much, these videos have a low-production and organic quality that make us think we might be looking at the real McConaughey.

However, he does occasionally post entertainment videos, such as the trailers for his two animated films, Kubo and the Two Strings and Sing.

McConaughey doesn’t update too frequently and mostly only when he is promoting a charity, but now that the cat (or YouTube channel) is out of the bag, perhaps he’ll start updating more.

We’re really liking this new McConaughey. Alright alright alright.
