To us, bubble gum is a simple thing. It is a sweat treat to be savored for a brief time before leaving our mouths and, eventually, ending up under a table or on someone’s foot.
But to this baby, this mysterious substance is nothing short of sheer impossibility. One can only wonder what thoughts and concepts fly through this infant’s mind. “The heck is that? A bubble? That’s no bubble I’ve ever seen. I make bubbles with my mouth, and they don’t look like that. This requires further study.”
