Being Informed May Be Keeping You Up At Night

The desire to stay updated on recent news and the desire for a good nights rest looks to be a growing issue, and quite a conundrum, for most Americans. It looks like the more you know, the more stressed you are. So, is always being informed really worth it?

The APA (American Psychological Association) released the 11th Stress In American Study, and it linked sleeplessness to news and the state of the country (shocker). The pool questioned consisted of 3,400 Americans.

According to the study, the, “future of [the] nation [is] most commonly reported source of stress,” with a whopping 63% of Americans saying they are lying awake at night. The more common stressors were money (62% of Americans) and work (61% of Americans).

Though Americans admit they think it’s important to stay informed and want to stay informed, 56% say the news causes them stress.
