What? How? Why?
These are probably the questions that will inevitably cross your mind as you watch this alleged sea worm wriggle around like a slimy abomination. And yet, you cannot look away.
Wei Cheng Jian was fishing in Taiwan when he stumbled upon this strange worm. He filmed the alien-like creature and then uploaded the footage to Facebook.

According to The Telegraph, the Flubber-like creature is most likely a Ribbon worm. The pink string substance the worm spits out is probably its proboscis, which is used for hunting. Though they typically stick to the ocean (as the name would imply), they will occasionally hang out in damp, cool areas on land.
So, next time you jump into the sea, remember that you might just encounter one of these. You’re welcome.
