This is the “Clever Dog Lab” in Vienna, Austria. Scientists are testing if they can improve cognitive function in older canines. Older adults play games or solve puzzles to combat cognitive deterioration. Scientists are employing a similar strategy for their tests on older canines. They are quite literally teaching old dogs new tricks. They are calling this game “dog sudoku.” No psychological or neurological measurements have been taken yet, but many of the dog owners are boasting an improved quality of life for their furry friend.
