Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan shared the news of their split back in April, but the couple has been separated for months before. The “Magic Mike” star moved out of the L.A. family home he shared with his wife of almost nine years and their daughter Everly, who turned 5 years old in May.
In a joint Instagram statement, the Tatum and Dewan wrote: “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love each other, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving, dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you in advance for respecting our family’s privacy.”
Both stars have been adjusting to their new lives as single people, co-parenting their daughter. On her relationship and the new chapter for herself, Dewan said she and Tatum have “a new normal where there is a lot of love.”
Tatum has been working non-stop, with four movies announced for 2018 alone while Dewan is in pre-production for the movie, “Berlin I Love You” along with being cast in the lead for a Fox pilot.
