Disney’s upcoming animated film, “Wreck-It Ralph 2,” is certainly breaking the Internet with their most recent movie trailer. While it’s assumed that the film will be about the video game character Ralph saving the Internet, every trailer and promo photo so far has focused on the Disney princesses hanging out and having some girl time with the movie’s protagonist, Vanellope.
The latest promotional screenshot shows off Vanellope lounging around with the Disney princesses. Instead of wearing their usual ball gowns and adventuring outfits, however, they’re all wearing casual loungewear versions of their original attire.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed graphic designs on some of the princesses’ shirts. Frozen’s Elsa and Anna are wearing a “Just Let It Go” and “Finish Each Other’s Sandwiches” shirt, respectively. Sleeping Beauty is wearing a “Nap Queen” long sleeve, and Snow White is sporting a shirt with a skull apple dripping in green poison.
Sarah Silverman, the voice of the rambunctious troublemaker/princess, Vanellope von Schweetz, weighed in on the princesses’ casual update, tweeting out, “I’m so proud to help usher in a new era where a Disney princess can wear comfortable clothes and have attainable waistline.”
The Disney princesses’ new attire left real life Internet users ‘shook,’ with many admiring the playful symbols and clothes while others have taken to crafting countless bits of fan art. It won’t be long until fans start to cosplay the princesses in their casual attire.
“Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2” is set to be released in theaters on Nov. 21.
