We might not all be cat people, but we all have had interactions with them. While the relationship might not be purr-fect, here are the signs that your cat either controls you… or despises you.
Your Cat Hates You If…
You pick them up too often or frequently, or hold them like a child. Cats get anxiety very quickly when not on the ground, so the longer you keep them in the air, the more likely they are to develop a grudge.
Your Cat Owns You If…
You exist on their schedule. You can’t play with your cat unless your cat wants to play. You can’t use the restroom without the cat joining you. You get woken up before your alarm because that’s when your cat just has to eat.
Your Cat Hates You If…
You stare at them for too long. Cats are intimidated by long eye contact, as it is how they establish dominance. And if you are spending too much time looking at your cat, just take one picture of them. Cats hate multiple pictures being taken of them, especially with the flash on.
Your Cat Owns You If…
Anything you own, your cat owns too. Especially if its your prized possession, your cat probably thinks it belongs on the ground. Or in their mouth. Nothing is off limits to a cat that owns you, and if they break something or cause any harm, it’s definitely not their fault.
So take a long look at your relationship with your cat instead of your cat itself, and decide if he or she hates you, or owns you. There’s no in-between.
