If you’ve been dreaming of working for Google because of the amenities they provide their employees, Amazon’s new workplace will blow it out of the water. Amazon has created a pretty cool workspace for its employees in Seattle inside large glass domes. The workspace is a replica forest, of sorts, perhaps similar to the Amazon Rainforest (insert thinking emoji).
The whole goal of this workspace isn’t just to show off, but rather to provide its employees with a creative workspace to thrive in. How is it like a forest, you may be wondering? Well these glass domes houses over 400,000 plants of 400 species. That’s a lot of greenery! These greenhouse-style spheres create a warm and humid climate for the plants to also thrive. But of course, a forest wouldn’t be complete without animals. Amazon has that covered, filling walkways and hallways with aquariums filled with fish, instead of your conventional office spaces.
This is all pretty cool and innovative, and CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos stops by from time to time to tell Alexa what to do. It’s like every Amazon (forest or online retail giant) lover’s dream!
