When you log into Facebook all articles look the same. The thing that ends up catching your eye is the crazy titles that are rumors, gossip, drama, and so much more. You also become attracted to the picture. There are so many news companies out there trying to get you to click on their site so that they can make money it’s out of control. And it’s becoming harder and harder to tell the difference between fake and real news.
Facebook has been working hard to try and end fake news, but it’s a difficult task to accomplish. It’s also hard for news companies to declare themselves as real because sometimes even big name news companies may not tell the truth 100% of the time, so what are you supposed to believe?
Our generation tends to be more aware of what’s going on because of social media and we are opening our eyes to a lot of issues that were not always publicized like they are now. Will the fake news epidemic come to an end or will it always be up to the viewer to decide what is real and what is fake?
