Florida man arrested for rocking way too hard to the national anthem

Freedom isn’t free.

Lane Pittman of Jacksonville, Florida, was entertaining his fellow patriots on the Fourth of July by playing a raucous version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” on his guitar.

But cops were soon on the scene, reportedly telling Pittman that he was playing too loud, and that he needed to move his impromptu concert off the street. When Pittman refused to comply, he was arrested.

In his video description, Pittman says, “I did not have a drop of alcohol in my system and was just trying to be as patriotic as I can, legally, on the day of our independence.”

He added that he leads local youth groups, and would “never, for a second, want them to think that intentionally rebelling against authority is something that I am for. Nor do I want the parents of those youth to think that.”

Pittman is currently fighting the misdemeanor charges against him for “breach of peace.”

After all, this is America, and we’re free to rock.
