Fun Facts (You May Not Know) About The Presidents Cup
For the non golf buffs out there, the Presidents Cup is a series of matches between the US team and the International team (minus Europe, as the US competes against Europe in the much older tournament, The Ryder Cup).
Over the last 23 years the Presidents Cup has been held, you may have missed some hidden gems. Here are a few fun facts to add to your obscure sports trivia data bank:
-The International team has only won the Cup one time…1998 was a memorable year for that crew.
-In 2000, Vijay Singh’s caddie showed up with a hat that said, “Tiger Who?” This was when Tiger Woods was in his prime (ahh the glory days), and of course, Woods won 2 and 1.
– In 2005, Chris DiMarco hurried a 10-footer to bring the cup back to the US once more. Talk about clutch!
