Most of us watch TV for the jaw-dropping and game-changing moments. It isn’t an easy task for a TV show to pull of a plot twist moment for viewers, but these shows threw everybody and their mother for a loop. CAUTION! This does contain spoilers. Here are some some incredibly plot-twisty that will have you on the edge of your seat (or up until 3am binge watching).
The Walking Dead is one of the most involved TV shows to date. If you watched the series, you know that if you miss one episode you probably missed a death, a birth, or some other insane plot twist.
Game of Thrones. This show thrives on the element of surprise and is why so many people have a borderline scary obsession with the series. Within the first season of Game of Thrones, Ned Stark, everyone’s favorite character and undeniable hero, had his head chopped off. We were sure that someone would come save the day, but that was false hope. And one of the beloved dragons being turned to a White Walkers? Our hearts were shattered and it is a little scary. Obviously we can’t leave out the Red Wedding. Lady Catelyn was killed, which also broke our hearts. Not to mention the ever so beautiful Jon Snow came back to life. Needless to say, this show is a never ending pile of nail biting moments.
Lost. Who could forget this epic show? So if you haven’t seen the show, what I am about to say may be a little confusing but bear with me. In season 3 we assumed that the visions that Jack was having were flashbacks, but they were actually flash-forwards! For any watchers, you know that it took a second for your brain to process but once it did, it was definitely a WOW moment.
Battlestar Galactica. When the show released who was actually a Cylon called for a many memorable moments by viewers. But the all time best twist was with pilot Starbuck. She did NOT die at the end of season three and people just about lost it when they found out.
Westworld. The entrance of Westworld accumulated a few pretty great twists that definitely captured viewers. But little did they know the best is yet to come. When you found out that Dolores was actually Wyatt did your jaw hit the floor as hard as ours did? Oh and our all time favorite, when it was discovered that Bernard is an android and was created by Arnold. He acted as a anagram for Arnold Weber. Props to the writer because that was clever.
Twin Peaks. The first two seasons of Twin Peaks covered a ton of ground. We were awestruck when Dale smashed the mirror with his head, and it was revealed it wasn’t Dale, it was Bob! It was SO CREEPY.
Hopefully we didn’t ruin any plot twists for you… If you haven’t watched any of these shows, get on it!
