It’s your big day. You just said, “I do,” to the man of your dreams. Now, you’re in your beautiful wedding gown on a gorgeous day in the park, taking your wedding photos. Kids are playing, the sun is shining and…wait, your groom just dove into a river?
Well, this was Brittany Cook’s wedding day. Though, her groom Clayton wasn’t leaping into the river with a case of cold feet, rather he was saving a child’s life.
“His face was under water and he was fighting. He was really fighting,” Clayton recounts. He was able to jump into the river, pull the boy out by his wrist, and save a life.
The wedding photographer was able to catch it all on film, leaving the Canadian newlyweds with a beautiful reminder of fate and a tell tale case of being in the right place at the right time.
As far as the boy Clayton saved, his older sibling came along to make sure he was okay and take him away.
