There are some places where you can surf all year round while others have a very limited season or seasons. The best time of year to go surfing is referred to as “high season.” This means there isn’t a lot of chop. There are clean waves and reliable swells meaning you won’t be sitting on your board waiting for something to appear for hours. Surf season is dependent on the location. Wind speed, wind direction, and tide are extremely important features to determine whether or not it a good time to surf. Needless to say, it is also up to a surfer’s preference and skill. It is suggested that you do some major research on the area you are surfing to find out what high season is before you take on the waves!
