The best way to find that perfect color is to use your hand as a swatch for colors within that color family. Nur says that if you’re fair skinned, brighter colors will work better for you than those with deeper skin tones.
Another small tip that makes a huge difference with bold lips is using a reverse lip liner to keep the color from bleeding. Nothing ruins a perfect pouty and bold lip like a bleeding color!
Also, to ensure maximum wear, try a lip primer before applying your lip liner and chosen color over the entire lip. The biggest take home for a bold lip is to create your beautiful bold lip, and build the rest of your makeup around it.
