This is the perfect dream job for coffee lovers
Looking for a job? Then consider moving to the Great Blasket Island, a small island off the coast of Ireland. The island announced that they are seeking two people to man its coffee shop on Twitter, and it has since gone viral.
“A unique position required—looking for long term management of Island Accommodation and Coffee Shop. Couple or two friends,” the island’s twitter account wrote.
The position runs from April 1 to October with accommodation and food provided. Any interested applicants should email “Alice” at the island’s general email account” info@greatblasketisland.net.
Alice is one of two of the island’s employees. She, alongside Billy, is looking for a “fit, hardworking and enthusiastic duo,” according to CBS news. Aside from running the coffee shop, the selected couple will serve breakfast, handle turnover of accommodation, clean the chicken coop, take care of the plants and light fireplaces for guests.
The island features five cottages in which tourists can stay in. They do not have electricity or hot showers, but they do have a small wind turbine that can be used to charge electronic devices. Laundry is taken off the island to be washed.
While this may sound simple and unmodern, the island offers stunning views, rolling hills of green and gorgeous rock formations that are just located three miles off the tip of Ireland’s Dingle Peninsula. Tourists can take boat tours and see dolphins and whales and sea birds.
