Wedding planning can be a fun and exciting experience, but it can quickly get stressful and expensive. And when it comes to planning a wedding, no bride wants to run up additional expenses, so often times, couples turn to a wedding planner could to point them in the right direction.
A wedding planner assists with the design, planning and management of a client’s wedding. Planners also run interference between the couple and opinionated relatives while simultaneously averting potential disasters on the big day.
A study conducted by TheKnot.com & WeddingChannel.com found that 19 percent of 18,000 newly married couples employed a wedding planner. But while some planners can supply a bride with everything she dreams of for her special day, fees can be part of the hefty expense. Fees, depending on location and level of involvement, can range from $250 to more than $15,000, industry experts said.
As a result, it might seem counterintuitive for brides on a budget to consider hiring a wedding planner. So it brings up the question of whether a bride should say “I do” to a wedding planner.
Wedding planning for the planner can also be stressful as much as it is exciting, ad sometimes there are things they just wish their clients knew. Many planners want their clients to budget before anything else. From the beginning, the bride and groom need to agree on how much they will spend and where the money will be allocated. Couples should avoid spreading finances too thin by trying to incorporate too many small details.
Another important point that is part of wedding planning is the guest experience because let’s face it; what’s the point of a wedding if no one is having a good time? Wedding planners want their clients to focus on the guest experience because it will set the tone for their wedding. It is advised that couples invest in food, bar, and interactive experiences while keeping the décor simple and budget-friendly.
Part of saying “I do” to a wedding planner is knowing the desired schedule. So many things go into making a wedding run smoothly, so it’s important to spend time coming up with a smart timeline that will highlight clear expectations and make room for the unexpected.
Most importantly, every wedding planner wants his or her client’s wedding to be a success. They want to bring the couple’s dream to life and help create the most unforgettable, most magical moment in their client’s lives.
So after considering all options available and pinpointing the budget and exactly what the wedding should be like, the bride and groom are ready to say yes to a wedding planner…or maybe not.
