After months of listening to Kanye West rave about President Donald Trump and abolishing the 13th amendment and watching him wear MAGA merchandise, the rapper said he’s officially over it and done with politics.
Two weeks after a controversial meeting at the White House with President Trump, West stated that he is done with politics. In a series of tweets, West claimed his “eyes are now wide open” and that he was being “used” to spread messages he does not believe in.
Throughout his many tweets, Kanye documented all of the things that matter most to him, which apparently include holding people in power accountable for things such as their actions, love and compassion and creating jobs.
Kanye ended his series of tweets by writing, “My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in.”
West has faced much criticism for not being clear in what exactly he was trying to achieve, like when he said he wanted to abolish the 13th amendment, As you may know, the 13th amendment outlawed slavery and involuntary servitude except as a punishment for a crime. So in other words, what West meant was that he really meant amend.
The rapper’s final goodbye to politics said: “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!”
