Machine Gun Kelly, known for his “say it how it is” attitude and “be who you want to be” persona has gotten himself an acting role in a biography playing Tommy Lee, Motley Crue drummer.
The script for Tommy Lee’s biography was written by Rich Wilkes and Tom Kapinos. Even the members of Motley Crue are co-producing the film, being that they have first experiences with the man himself, Tommy Lee.
MGK sounded excited in a recent interview where he spoke about how intense Tommy Lee was in real life. From the way he dressed, to the things he did, Machine Gun Kelly said getting into character for Tommy Lee was something to get use to.
Jeff Tremaine is directing the film from a script by Rich Wilkes and Tom Kapinos and he thinks it’s great. If you don’t know who Jeff Tremaine is, he was the guy who helped the “Jackass” movies come to life.
The movie follows the group’s rise during the ’80s rock scene on the Sunset Strip as it dives deep into the band’s highs and lows along the way. It’s going to be exciting watching MGK go from a stage performing in front of a crowd, to being on a Netflix featured movie.
