Most Memorable Moments In World Cup History

Here are some of the most memorable moments in World Cup history.

The hand of God. The infamous Diego Maradona scored arguably two of the best goals to lead Argentina to a World Cup title. The first goal was actually a hand ball that the refs failed to catch. After the game when asked about the goal he said, “A little with the head of Maradona and little with the Hand of God.”

Luis Suarez biting another player. One of the best players in the world was known for his dirty plays. 2014 was supposed to be his redemption tour but that didn’t last long once he bit another player. He was banned from the rest of the 2014 World Cup.
Zidane loses his head. Zidane head-butted Italy’s Marco Materazzi after he insulted his sister. He was red carded and Italy won the game in penalty kicks.

Germany beat Brazil 7-1. Brazil was the host country and favored to be the World Cup champion. But they were easily shut down by Germany in the semis. Germany scored six goals in four minutes. And yes, you just read that correctly.
