MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ premieres to strong ratings. According to Deadline, the revival of the cult reality show averaged 2.5 million viewers for the first episode and 2.4 million for the second. For the key demographic of ages 18-34, ‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ was the highest rated unscripted cable series launch in six years.
‘Family Vacation’ drew a with a live+same day rating of 2.96 – which was better than the final season of Jersey Shore’s average in 2012 (2.82). The two-hour premiere was also the most social show of the day on Thursday, with #JSFamilyVacation trending on Twitter in the U.S. for seven hours.
