Next Time You Order Tea Or Coffee On A Plane….Don’t

Traveling to new places and seeing new things is an experience that most of us crave; the wanderer lifestyle. But, we could do without the cramped airplane seats and long layovers and delayed flights. If we could just teleport everywhere already, life would be much simpler.

Along with the frustrations of airport travel comes uncleanliness on planes. For all those germaphobes out there, we hear you. It seems the only highlight is that shot glass plastic cup of ginger ale or diet soda, and if you’re lucky, some cookies or stale pretzels. But, you may want to think twice about what beverages you order on your next flight, specifically tea or coffee…and you didn’t hear it from us.

One flight attendant told Business Insider that they wouldn’t drink any hot water on an airplane. During flight, the hot water comes from tap and as you may guess, that water could be absolutely atrocious. An EPA study found that 1 in 8 planes fails the agency’s standards for water safety. So next time you go to order a coffee or tea on a flight….maybe don’t.
