Iconic singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, star of the musical film “Grease,” reportedly only has weeks left to live after suffering her third bout of breast cancer. The 70-year-old star previously confirmed she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, with another tumor in her spine.
According to media site RadarOnline, the actress has rapidly become sicker and her bodily functions are shutting down. Newton-John‘s manager, Michael Caprio, has spoken out after rumors swirled around, saying to Australian outlet News.com.au, “You might want to get better sources versus reading tabloids.”
“We have stated over and over again publicly she’s feeling better,” the singer’s social media manager, Randy Slovacek, told Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper. “People just seem to want to believe some dramatic turn.”
Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 and underwent a partial mastectomy and chemotherapy. It was announced in May 2017 that cancer had returned, the same year her sister Rona died of a brain tumor.
Last September, Newton-John said that she had decided to treat cancer with “modern” medicine and natural remedies, as well as eliminating sugar and taking cannabis oil for pain. Newton-John has been a campaigner for the use of medical marijuana and reportedly uses home-grown cannabis as pain relief.
“My husband’s a plant medicine man so he grew cannabis for me and made tinctures for me to take for pain and inflammation and so many other things that cannabis can do,” she told 60 Minutes.
