Who ya gonna call? Paul Rudd!

That’s right! The man that played the lovable Mike Hannigan in “Friends” and the one who calls himself Ant-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has announced that he will join the next installment of the “Ghostbusters” franchise.

In a video posted to social media on Thursday, Rudd said, “I can’t wait to join the cast this fall for ‘Ghostbusters.’ In fact, I’m sliming myself right now.”

Earlier this month, Sigourney Weaver, who starred as Dana Barrett in the original film, announced that she would be making a comeback, and added that Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd would also return. Sadly though, Harold Ramis, who played Ghostbuster Egon Spengler, died in 2014.

Ivan Reitman directed the first two iconic “Ghostbusters” films, but for the reboot, his son Jason Reitman will be taking over. Unfortunately, Reitman received criticism earlier this year after appearing to criticize the all-female “Ghostbusters” remake.

“We are in every way trying to go back to original technique and hand the movie back to fans,” Reitman said.

In the all-female “Ghostbusters” movie, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Melissa McCarthy starred in the film. Reitman’s “Ghostbusters” is set for release in 2020.
