Starbucks just added its first new drink of the New Year and it’s being called cookie butter in a cup! Now that the holidays are over, it’s officially time to stop sipping the festive holiday drinks, but that’s not to say you’re expected to show up at the office without the perfect cup of joe.
Lucky for you, the Seattle coffee empire is now serving an all-new drink called the Cinnamon Shortbread Latte. The beverage combines espresso, milk, and “notes of brown butter and vanilla,” all topped with cinnamon and nutmeg.
The drink is basically “cookie butter in a cup,” according to a company spokesperson, and as you very well may know, cookie butter has been quite the rage for a while now.
Starbucks addicts can customize the Cinnamon Shortbread Latte with Starbucks’ Signature Espresso, which is “bold and intense,” or go for something a bit more subtle, using the lighter Blonde Espresso option. The brand new beverage is being offered hot, iced, or if you really want to kick your new diet to the curb, as a Frappuccino.
Sadly though, the Cinnamon Shortbread Latte will be available for a limited time only.
Starbucks is also adding more items to its food menu, including Ham, Cheddar and Peppers Sous Vide Egg Bites; Ham and Swiss Panini; and Red Velvet Loaf Cake.
