Starbucks Brews Up A Spooky New Concoction

Something spooky is brewing at Starbucks this Halloween season! The coffee chain is rolling out its Halloween-themed Witch’s Brew Frappuccino, a deliciously magical purple beverage with green whipped cream. It’s the perfect concoction for all the witches preparing their potions for the holiday.

Although the new beverage might fool dinkers with its purple and green color scheme, Starbucks says the Witch’s Brew Frappuccino actually tastes like “swirl orange crème.”

In other words, this Halloween beverage will “trick” you. “Toad’s breath” (orange crème), “bat warts” (chia seeds), and “lizard scale” powder are some of the ingredients mixed into this, according to Starbucks representatives.

While the Halloween drink is served at Starbucks, a coffee shop, the beverage has little to offer in terms of caffeine. Consumers who tried the new Witch’s Brew describe it as “drinkable Halloween candy.”

This is not the first time Starbucks rolled out a Halloween themed drink. Last year’s Halloween beverage, the Zombie Frappuccino, was a monster mash of caramel apple flavoring, and was also purple and green.

Some other sweet treats joining the Starbucks 2018 Halloween inventory include Mummy Cake Pops, Raccoon Sugar Cookies, and even a new spooky Halloween Spotify playlist.

The Witch’s Brew Frappuccino is available for a limited time at participating locations, so if you’re a witch itching to get her brewing on, then make sure to sip on the new Witch’s Brew Frappuccino.
