It’s the day after Halloween; so let the holiday festivities commence! Officially ringing in the holiday season is U.S. coffee giant Starbucks, which has released its annual holiday cups.
On Thursday, the company unveiled four new holiday cup designs: red stripes, a green argyle pattern, red and white flames and one with mistletoe coffee cherries in red and green.
Starbucks is also introducing new holiday-themed treats such as sugarplum cheese Danishes and pistachio honey croissants. And of course, Starbucks wouldn’t be holiday ready without its classic specialty drinks like peppermint mochas and gingerbread lattes.
Additionally, on Nov. 2, Starbucks will be giving away a limited-edition reusable red cup with the purchase of any holiday drink. So make sure to get to your nearest Starbucks if you want to celebrate coffee and the holidays.
Starbucks has been introducing new holiday cups each fall since 1997. The coffee giant has faced some criticism in the past however, as some of the designs have been polarizing, sparking debate about whether the cups are Christmas enough.
This year though, Starbucks is making sure to be real “Christmasy”.
“We listened to our customers,” said Roz Brewer, Starbucks’ chief operating officer.
Starbucks figured out what customers wanted, Brewer said. Employees asked for feedback and comments in person, and the company gathered information about preferences through its digital platforms like the mobile app.
