Wanna know the best way to not let claw machines rip you off anymore? Become the claw yourself. That’s right, kids in China can now be attached to a crane, dropped into a pit of toys, and grab for their life in a local mall located in Jiaxing City. For every 99 yuan (about 15 U.S. dollars) spent at the mall, kids get a chance to play this game. And every toy they can successfully hold onto gets to be taken home.
This is not the first time human claw machines have been a thing. A woman was also attached to a harness and dropped into a vat of candy, clenching all of her limbs together in order to snatch as many bags of sweet treats as possible.
They always say when you’re playing one of those arcade games to “be the claw… be the claw.” Well, looks like that’s been taken to a whole new level.
