Nickelodeon is giving 90’s babies a taste of their childhood, bringing back popular slime game show ‘Double Dare.’
The popularity of the slime kids trend gave Nickelodeon a flash-back to their popular ‘Double Dare’ show that is all about the slime. The game show began airing in the late 80’s to early 90’s with a family edition of the game show as well.
The set will be a modern version of the nostalgic set, with similar color scheme with similar props and games. One including the classic nose prop that contestants need to fetch a flag from inside the nose. There is another prop that will be back, the tunnel with the entrance in the shape of a mouth.
The new show will feature older props with new games, said to be more gross with more slime than ever. Nickelodeon hopes this re-vamped show will offer a nostalgic experience for audiences, with the concept that the game show is fun and timeless.
The previous host Marc Summers will not be joining the show cast, but the new host will be comedy influencer Liza Koshy. The new host is popular for her comedic antics through her social media and will now add game show host to her experience.
The new game show is approved for 40 new episodes with the show premiering this summer. For more on the ‘Double Dare’ renewal check out the videos above.
