If you’re still on the fence about purchasing a Wii U, it’s probably safe to assume the upcoming release of Super Smash Bros. is factoring into your decision. The console’s most hyped title hits shelves on Nov. 21, and Nintendo’s most recent direct address showed fans a mountain of new features.
Nintendo was kind enough to let us test out some of the game’s new modes, such as the self-explanatory 8-Player Smash and the less obvious Smash Tour.
The 8-Player Smash feature doubles the amount of people you can pack into a single battle, opening up a world of customizable possibilities and new maps. Smash Tour is a board game that looks like Mario Party on the surface, but quickly reveals itself to be a dynamic race to acquire and use any number of items and characters across the board.
We also got to check out the Amiibo figures — basically, small action figurines that can be tapped into your game via the Wii U Game Pad.
Check out our hands-on look at the game up top.
