Now Playing: The Coolest 'Back to the Future' Screening Ever
A London-based theater and arts company is breaking the fourth wall and taking viewers back to the future this summer — in a way.
Future Cinema, known for staging previous “live cinema experiences” for Ghostbusters, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and The Grand Budapest Hotel, is building an entire recreation of Hill Valley, Calif. — the setting of the Back to the Future trilogy — at a secret location in London. The idea is to completely immerse viewers in the movie. There will even be a recreation of the DeLorean DMC-12.
Performances will run from July 24 to Aug. 10, 2014. In the latest episode of Mashable Minute, Elliott expresses his excitement for London — and disgust with L.A.’s lack of this kind of thing. Sort it out, Hollywood.
