These New Mockups Look the Closest to the Upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max and Fold
A new package from China may offer our closest look yet at Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone.
This isn’t the first mockup to surface. Earlier versions included a crude aluminum model and another with a basic screen. But this latest version looks considerably more refined. The hinge stays in place, the Apple logo is subtle, and the camera cutout looks much closer to something Apple could actually ship.
The design follows a “passport” style, with a shorter and wider shape when folded. That puts it squarely in the territory of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the similarities are hard to miss.
There are still some questionable details. The corners look too sharp, and Apple would have to carefully balance the phone’s thickness with battery capacity. Still, this mockup strikes a surprisingly believable middle ground.
The package also included a mockup of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max, showing several possible colors, including metallic blue, black, white, and a new reddish shade dubbed “Rose Crimson.”
Of course, there’s no guarantee these mockups accurately represent Apple’s final designs. But with each new version looking more polished than the last, the idea of an Apple foldable is becoming increasingly convincing.
