American McGee Announces New Alice Game Is In The Works

If you are an avid gamer, then you might have heard of American McGee’s Alice game and either played it yourself or watched PewDiePie stream his gameplay in 2013. But needless to say, the game is considered a cult classic. So naturally, since the first game release, fans have been crying for a new “Alice” game for years.

The last game that was created by American McGee was “Alice: Madness Returns,” but it was only released on PS3 and came out in 2011. But McGee is coming out of the rabbit hole this year because he announced that they are working on a new game titled “Alice: Asylum.”

Details are scarce, but “Alice: Asylum” is said to be a prequel to the original game in the series. In the announcement posted on their blog, the game creator said, “American is hard at work on design, art, and story for the next chapter in Alice’s adventures.”

“’Alice: Asylum’ will present the story before ‘American McGee’s Alice,’ with young Alice fighting through the trauma of losing her family,” the blog post continues. Although the development of the game is still in the very early stages, the game is expected to be released in 2021 on all major platforms this time.
