Last time we saw Menswear Dog, he was just a young pooch starting out in the fashion industry.
Fast-forward a couple of years and the Shiba Inu has become a big dog (literally) in menswear, gaining half a million social followers, sitting front row at fashion shows like Todd Snyder, and landing campaigns with the likes of The Tie Bar. If that wasn’t major enough, he now has a book.
That’s right: Bodhi the Shiba Inu officially dresses better than you.

His first tome, Menswear Dog Presents: The New Classics, was co-written by his humans, David Fung and Yena Kim, who only assisted Bodhi because he lacks fingers to type.

“The book became an organic extension of what he was doing anyway with his Tumblr,” Fung tells Mashable.
“I’m just excited that Bodhi will become a first for a dog in many aspects,” says Kim. “Like being the first dog to be around such luxury situations.”
With Bodhi’s artistic and creative vision, we gave him the task of transforming four dogs in need of a spring spruce-up. Here are the dapper looks he came up with and trends for the new season you should try now.
1. Florals

“Avoid looking over-the-top by choosing smaller-scaled designs — they will seem like textures or allover prints from afar,” says Bodhi to Eric, the Brussels Griffon. “And as with any other busy pattern, keep the rest of your outfit muted for a good balance.”
2. Madras sports coats

“Madras isn’t a word you hear every day, but it ought to be in your fashion vocabulary,” Bodhi tells Pirate. “These lightweight cotton fabrics, typically with a bright plaid design, have become a standard for summer style. Madras is bold, so the trick to pulling it off is to keep everything else quiet.”
3. Color-blocked polo

“Try to find [a polo shirt] with the classic ribbed trim on the sleeves — it not only looks nice, it helps accentuate your arms by visually separating your shoulder and biceps,” Bodhi says to Georgia.
4. Spring layers

Some days are warmer than others and nights can still get brisk. In these situations, layer with a shirt underneath and a sweater over. The best layering shirt is a chambray. “The beauty of a chambray shirt is that it can dress down very easily as a casual work shirt over a T, or it can be elevated to add contrast under a suit jacket and tie,” Bodhi tells Penny. “It boldly goes where your denim jacket was too bulky to go before.”
