Starbucks Is Bringing Special Summer Drinks To Menu
A new Unicorn Frappuccino-style beverage is coming to Starbucks, and it is slated to hit stores nationwide starting next month July.
Called the “Tie-Dye Frappuccino,” the colorful beverage is the latest in a series of Instagrammable and eclectic beverages that are meant to echo the viral fad of the Unicorn Frappuccino. According to Business Insider, the drink would hit menus on July 10, but customers, bloggers, and Starbucks lovers will have to hurry to get their hands on a cup because advertising for the drink is set to be taken down five days later. This means that the Tie-Dye Frappuccino will only be available for a limited time.
Other than the possibility of rolling out a new summer drink, Starbucks has not revealed any other information regarding the Tie-Dye Frappuccino. The coffee company has even declined to reveal the drinks’ ingredients with in-store workers, so it is not quite clear what the drink will taste like.
The new drink shows that Starbucks is giving its Frappuccinos some love since the company generally pulled back from it due to declining sales. The Seattle coffee giant even took away Frappuccino Happy Hour in summer 2018 because sales were low. Instead, Starbucks chose to focus on its cold beverage line up, growing the sales of cold brew and espresso-based beverages.
