Adidas Partners With Arizona Iced Tea On 99 Cent Sneakers

The Pop-Up Was Shutdown Before It Could Even Open

Two iconic brands are joining forces to bring the most stylish and affordable shoes to the market.

In a revealing post on social media, Arizona Iced Tea shared that it would be leaping into the sneaker business in collaboration with Adidas. Leading up to the announcement, the beverage company had been teasing the mashup on its Instagram page.

In celebration of the collaboration and release of the new sneaker line, Arizona shared that it is holding a “99¢ Surprise Pop-Up” event on Thursday and Friday in New York City. Attendees who stop will receive “a can of 99¢ AriZona that will include one pair of the limited-run Adidas Continental 80 or Yung 1 silhouettes designed with AriZona brand iconography,” according to a Facebook post on the official Arizona Facebook page.

Sneakers will only be available while supplies last, with a one pair per person limit. Customers must pay with a $1 bill only.

Two color versions of the sneakers will be available: the Yung 1 and Continental shoe styles. The reason why the sneakers are selling for just 99 cents is that that is the selling point for a can of Arizona iced tea, and it has been selling for that price since the company’s founding in 1992.
