The Cute Sanrio Anime Show To Return
“Aggretsuko” was one of the most talked about anime releases of 2018 by Netflix and Sanrio. The show is about an anxious 25-year-old adult red panda who deals with the mundanities of everyday office life and gets all her rage out at a heavy metal karaoke.
It quickly became an online sensation as fans all around the world found her to be both kawaii and relatable. In exciting news, the video streaming service had confirmed that a second season of the series was in the works last year, but it wasn’t until recently that Netflix confirmed the actual release date for the second season.
Season 2 for “Aggretsuko” is premiering on Netflix worldwide on June 14th. To hype up the fans, Netflix shared the first few images from the season, which also teases Retsuko’s mom.
Netflix and Sanrio announced the new season through a series of funny tweets exchanged between the Twitter accounts of Netflix and Sanrio. Netflix asked Sanrio for ways to healthily channel their rage until “Aggretsuko” Season 2 premieres, to which the Aggretsuko account suggested potentially overthrowing the corporate overlords.
But for those who cannot wait or have not even seen the first season, the first season of the Sanrio and Netflix’s joint project is available for streaming worldwide. The new season will feature 10 episodes and each episode runs 15 minutes each.
