Mom Blames Millenials For Long Wait Times At Disney World
The Disney Parks are supposed to be the happiest place on earth, aren’t they? Well for one mom, one particular trip was a complete nightmare and it’s all to blame on millennials, especially the ones who do not have children. In one viral and expletive-laced Facebook post, one anonymous mom said that childless millennials have no place in Disney World and should be “banned” from the theme park.
Her rant was sparked by typical parenting difficulties while at Orlando, Florida-based Disney World where she was caring for a “cranky” 3-year-old. According to Twitter user @JenKatWrites, the parent detailed an incident where she had to deny her 3-year-old son a Mickey-shaped pretzel. The Facebook user said he told her son the line was “very long” and assured him they can get the treat “later,” but he burst into tears, sparking her diatribe against childless adults in the park.
“DW is for CHILDREN!!!! People without CHILDREN need to be BANNED!!!!! Mothers with children should be allowed to skip ALL THE LINE!!!” the mother wrote in the Facebook post.
“these IMMATURE millennials THROW AWAY THEIR MONEY ON USELESS CRAP!!!!! They have NO idea the JOY and HAPPINESS it is to MOTHERS WHO BUYS THEIR BABIES TREATS AND TOYS!!!!” the mother added. Since the post went viral, it has nearly garnered 63,000 “likes” as mixed views.
Disney is family-friendly, but of course, the park also courts adults as much as it does the children. For the adults especially, millennials visit the parks because it is nostalgic for their childhoods, and now that Disney is adding more attractions from titles within its Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars properties, what adult wouldn’t want to visit, childless or not.
