Live-action “Hercules” just confirmed producers and writers
It has officially been confirmed that a live-action adaption of Disney’s animated film “Hercules” is in the works. This new project joins the list of several other beloved 20th-century cartoons— “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Lion King,” to name a few—that have gotten a modern makeover with a live-action twist.
The official cast of the film has not been revealed yet, but fans are already beyond excited because it was announced that the live-action venture will be helmed by an all-star production team.

The Russo Brothers, most famous for their direction of “Avengers: Endgame,” will produce the film, while Dave Callaham, writer of the upcoming Marvel movie “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” will write the script. With the way the Avengers movies were produced, it’s likely that this new Hercules live-action film will be action-packed with a humorous bent.
Despite getting the green light to remake the film, due to the coronavirus pandemic, production on many projects has been halted. Many theatrical released have also been pushed to a later date. “Mulan” for example was originally supposed to hit theaters on March 27, but it ended up being delayed and will now be released in July.
