‘Bad Boys’ Movie Begins Shooting In Miami, Causing Traffic Delays

The Bad Boys Are Back

The new installment of the Bad Boys franchise is slated “Bad Boys For Life” will star Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, has started filming in Miami, Florida. And as if traffic in South Beach weren’t bad enough, filming for the third film will result in the shutdown of the MacArthur Causeway.

On Sunday, April 14 Miami Beach is issuing a “#TrafficNotice” for westbound lanes of the MacAurther Causeway from 2 to 4 pm, stating the causeway will be closed. Additionally, there will be intermittent closures on eastbound lanes.

Miami Beach is also advising drivers to use the Julia Tuttle Causeway or the Venetian Causeway when traveling between Miami Beach and the mainland. “Tolls on the Venetian Causeway will be suspended for your convenience,” the city said in the notice.

The City of Miami also warns residents and businesses of filming locations along Flagler Street, Southeast 1st Street, Southeast to Northeast 3rd Avenue and Northeast to Southeast 2nd Avenue from 6 to 8 p.m. April 6.

In 2002, filming for “Bad Boys 2” affected traffic for the better part of the week with the MacArthur Causeway being closed, and the same is expected to happen this time around as well.
