Blind sheep wears a halo to help him stop bumping into things

Blind for most of his life, an elderly sheep has been given a helping hand thanks to a clever piece of gear initially created for dogs.

Named 64 (after the Beatles song “When I’m Sixty-Four,” according to ABC News), the wee guy wears a customised Halo Vest, an U.S. invention featuring a plastic halo ring around his head. The halo prevents him from walking into objects on Edgar’s Mission, an animal sanctuary north of Melbourne, Australia.

64 has also been trained to move about by following a bell tied to his friend, a sheep called Annabelle. Pretty neat, huh?
