No need to worry about the clock striking midnight to wear this dress
Every year, at least 4,000 weddings are held at Disney parks and cruises around the world, and part of the Disney wedding experience – especially for the bride – is to look and feel like an actual princess.
Disney has teamed up with bridal manufacturer Allure Bridals and announced a new line of wedding dresses inspired by some of its famous Disney princesses. Prices range from $1,200 to $10,000.
Creating romance and magic, the new Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection features “timeless styles inspired by the love stories” of Ariel from “The Little Mermaid,” Aurora from “Sleeping Beauty,” Belle from “Beauty and the Beast,” Jasmine from “Aladdin,” Rapunzel from “Tangled,” and Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog.” Also, part of the collection are dresses inspired by Cinderella, Pocahontas, and Snow White.
With 16 styles in total, the dresses feature a variety of silhouettes, intricate details, and fabrications that “capture the style and spirit” of each princess. There are ball gowns, mermaid trains, fit-and-flare hemlines and more throughout the collection.
The entire collection will debut at New York Bridal Fashion Week in April 2020 before arriving in stores. Only seven styles will be available at Kleinfeld Bridal in New York City, as well as the Toronto location.
But the dress is just one part of the wedding. The average minimum cost to have a wedding at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida is about $30,000, and usually, the schedule must coincide with the park’s hours, which means couples will often have a morning wedding.
Holding a wedding ceremony at other attractions such as Epcot or the Animal Kingdom tend to be cheaper, and cost around an average of $4,500. To get married on a Disney cruise – which only accommodates up to 18 guests – typically starts at $3,500.
But don’t forget the food, flowers, entertainment, transportation, and extra Disney wedding add-ons.
According to the latest Real Weddings study from The Knot, in 2019, the average cost of a typical wedding ceremony and reception – not even Disney –was $28,000.
But it’s your special day, so celebrate it with style, magic and lots of love!
