Get Ready For “Stranger Things” With New Whopper

Burger King has been staying on top of their game this year, with the recent and popular Impossible Burger and now a new and ‘strange’ burger to celebrate the famous Netflix original series “Stranger Things.”

Turning it into a brilliant marketing opportunity and as a way to advertise in new spaces, Burger King will be serving Whoppers upside-down in 1980s-era packaging. In a partnership with Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” the hamburger chain announced it will sell “Upside-Down Whopper” sandwiches, which is just a regular Whopper flipped upside down.

For those who have seen “Stranger Things” and even for those who have not, the Upside-Down is an alternative universe in the show, which is set in the 1980s and centers around the lives of four adolescent boys and their friends.

The new “Upside-Down Whopper” comes just before the new season premiere on the streaming service on July 4.

The burger will be sold starting June 21 at select restaurants in several US cities including Miami, Houston, Boston, and Atlanta. Those select restaurants will also have limited-edition ketchup packets and t-shirts inspired by the famous TV show.

So if you’re planning on watching the upcoming season of “Stranger Things,” then you’ve just found your next meal to celebrate the season premiere with.
