Busch Gardens adding new roller coaster predicted to break records
Almost everyone loves a thrilling roller coaster with lots loops, flips and plenty of speed. And the bigger the roller coaster, the better. In 2015, Busch Gardens ended their beloved Gwazi coaster, closing down the dueling track wooden coaster forever. But even though some good things must come to an end, something bigger and better is bound to take its place and that’s exactly what is happening.
Recently, Busch Gardens released a photo of a new roller coaster in progress, and it’s being reported that the new coaster will hold some pretty awesome world records. The yet to be named coaster will be made of wood and steel hybrid, as a way of keeping some of Gwazi’s existing wooden structure.
In the Instagram post uploaded by the theme park, the caption reads, “It’s official… the first track pieces have been placed😍 #2020Rising.”
The exact date of opening is unknown, but theme park enthusiasts are already excited to see the final product.
According to the Busch Gardens website, at completion, the new roller coaster will not only be the tallest hybrid roller coaster in North America standing taller than 200 feet, but it will also hold the titles for the fastest and steepest hybrid coaster in the entire world.
The theme park also posted a teaser video showcasing the last 60 years of the park’s adrenaline-pumping coasters and rides as a way to the hype of the fans. The announcement of the new coaster came at the end with a sneak peek of the ride simulated.
Earlier this year, Florida got its tallest launch coaster, the Tigris, and additional animal encounters were added to the theme park.
