Chill Musicians Play Concert With Instruments Made From Ice

The cold never bothered these musicians! Norwegian musician Terje Isungset and his colleagues played a concert in Russia, using instruments they made from frozen water. Isungset is known for taking music far beyond their traditional boundaries. In addition to ice, he has crafted his own instruments from Norwegian natural elements such as arctic birch, granite, slate, and sheep bells.

They say the ice, sourced from a lake near the Russian town of Kirovsk, produces an especially clear sound. It made for a chilly but unique musical experience. The cold never bothered them anyway!
