Watch out for pranks and tricks
Today is the national holiday of pranks better known as April Fools’ Day and some companies are fooling customers. These companies are playing pranks on customers in celebration of April Fools’ Day with some funny promotions.
TaskRabbit is offering a literal form of their home DIY service with the assistance of some adorable fluffy rabbits. TaskRabbit created a promo video for their latest addition to their service with each freelance laborer accompanied by a real rabbit for the homeowner to play with during their service. Though the service is a prank, TaskRabbit is pledging $4,000 to nonprofit rabbit rescues.

The classic marshmallow candy Peeps announced a peculiar collaboration with Green Giant for cauliflower flavored Peeps. Both companies announced the cross-over on social media as a prank and didn’t actually create the crazy collaboration product.
The language learning website and app, DuoLingo, decided to participate in April Fools’ Day with toilet paper that doubles as a learning tool. DuoLingo is “offering” people the chance to learn another language with toilet paper featuring translations of languages including Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, and Chinese. When customers go to the DuoLingo page to buy the toilet paper, they’re redirected to course options.
The classic kid’s entertainment channel, Cartoon Network, announced the rebranding of the channel with a new name of Cat-toon Network. The newly branded Cat-toon Network featured a mock press release of upcoming parody shows featured on the channel including “Love-Cat Country,” “Keeping Up With The Katdashians,” and “The Big Bang Tabby.”

There are plenty of April Fools’ pranks on social media but some are choosing to #GiveThanksNotPranks with a T-Mobile promotion. T-Mobile is pledging to give $5 to a classroom in need for every tweet for up to $500,000 to Donors Choose through April 1.
